Pakenham man charged after allegedly driving at group

A 32-year-old man will face court after allegedly driving on the footpath toward a group of people in Pakenham.

“Police have charged a Pakenham man following an incident at a shopping centre in Pakenham on 10 December,” a police spokesperson said in a media release this evening.

“Police were called to Windermere Boulevard about 2.30pm in response to a man allegedly confronting a group of youths.

“It is alleged the man confronted six youths in the shopping centre before getting in his car and allegedly driving on the footpath toward the group as they walked outside.

“The[man] has been charged with multiple offences including drive in a manner dangerous, behave in offensive manner, make threat to kill and unlawful assault.

“He has been bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 25 February 2019.”
